I have worked as a Washington Correspondent for Nexstar Media Group since June of 2024. I graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Journalism.
In my time at Nexstar’s Washington, D.C. Bureau, I was the first to provide breaking news live shots for the station group after the deaths of Former President Jimmy Carter and Pope Francis. I also covered the 2025 Presidential Inauguration of President Donald Trump, several congressional spending deals and the two assassination attempts on President Trump.
While I enjoy breaking news and have covered it extensively, my passion is uncovering stories nobody else has told. I have enterprised stories about the U.S.-Mexico Water dispute, workforce cuts to immigration judges, the future of human spaceflight and federal funding negotiations in Congress.
Before working at Nexstar, I worked at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. There, I honed my investigative reporting chops. I revealed information about secret payouts to fired local government employees, uncovered prior criminal conduct of candidates for office and was the first to uncover possible embezzlement from the county government. One of my stories forced the Caryville City Council to re-vote on a sale of public land, because I found they didn’t follow state law.
My main role at Nexstar and WBIR had me work in the traditional media space. I file stories for TV and write the accompanying web story. But as the industry changes, I have tried to change the mediums in which I work. At Nexstar, I began conducting long-form, podcast-style interviews, which air on our local stations’ streaming apps. I have also re-edited my TV stories for TikTok and Instagram.
I grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and love to hike, SCUBA dive, travel, drink wine and eat!
